Officers learned that the suspect had been involved in a domestic disturbance with a 24-year-old victim, where he ran over the victim’s hand with his vehicle and fled the scene with the 3-year-old child. The child was not injured and was safely returned to the victim. After a substantial amount of time, Negotiators were successful in convincing the suspect to release the child and allow officers to take him into custody. Negotiators with SAPD’s Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) were requested to assist at the suspect’s location. The suspect refused to put the child down in an attempt to avoid being arrested. The suspect exited his vehicle with the child and proceeded to walk into an open field near the mentioned intersection. Officers made contact with the suspect and gave him verbal commands to exit his vehicle. Officers arrived on the scene and learned that the suspect was driving a white pickup truck (while intoxicated) with an unsecured 3-year-old child. San Angelo, TX (April 24, 2023, 8:44 am): A 37-year-old male was taken into custody early yesterday morning after a standoff with Police near Ave N and A&M street. There is currently no threat to the TLCA Campus, and the SAPD is working in conjunction with the TLCA staff to ensure the safety of their students. SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division investigated the incident, and the suspect was arrested for Terroristic Threat. The suspect was then taken into custody off campus by SAPD’s Street Crimes Division. Multiple SAPD officers responded to TLCA and were able to obtain information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts. Officers were able to quickly locate Paulhill, near N. Officers learned that the suspect (Paulhill) had fled the scene in a dark colored Dodge Charger and that he was possibly heading towards East 19 th street. Officers provided first aid to the victim, and he was transported to Shannon Medical Center by the SAFD for his injuries. Officers arrived on scene and located a 33-year-old male who was observed to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. ![]() The San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to a Northside Apartment Complex for a shooting victim in the late afternoon hours of 4/28/23. The suspect (Kaya Paulhill-21yoa) was quickly taken into custody by responding officers and is currently facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. San Angelo, TX (May 1, 2023, 9:17am): One male is in custody after a shooting investigation that left a 33-year-old male hospitalized this weekend.
